We know it is only November, but before you know it the end of the year will be here. Which means if you have any dental benefits, then you need to use them before they expire! Your Prairie Village, KS, dentist wants to help you use your remaining benefits so you can start your clear aligner treatment now!
Using Your Dental Benefits
If you have dental insurance then you will have benefits that will expire unless used by midnight on December 31st. For people with a health savings account, this again you have funds set aside that could expire and disappear without being used by the end of the year. Instead of simply losing these, why not talk to our team. Our friendly and engaging office staff can help you understand your benefits and what you have available to use for treatment. We could then start the process of beginning your clear aligner treatment, so you start a new year on the path to an even and beautiful smile!
Creating Custom Aligners
If you decide to start care with orthodontic clear aligners, how does that begin? We will take detailed images and impressions of your bite with digital technology, so we can accurately assess the state of your smile and plan treatment, deciding if you need clear orthodontics. We could even show you what your smile may look like post-treatment. We then use the images and impressions we take of your bite to start the fabrication process, with experts using them in a lab setting to create your custom aligners from a clear and BPA-free material.
Correcting Your Smile
When your orthodontics are ready, you can start the treatment process. You will wear a set for about 20 to 23 hours per day on average, only taking them out before meals or for special occasions. You also remove them when you brush and floss, which makes caring for your smile simpler than if you were wearing braces. You wear each set in the series for about two weeks, moving on the next and continuing the process as your smile is corrected. For some, optimal results could take as little as one year.
If you have any questions about how we correct your uneven smile with our orthodontic clear aligners, or if you want to see us about using your 2025 dental benefits before they expire at the end of the year, then contact our team today!
