Why should you consider an appointment to address your uneven smile? When you have crooked, crowded, and overlapping teeth, this can make brushing and flossing your teeth more difficult, which then increases the risk of complications like tooth decay, gum disease, teeth stains, and even bad breath. You could also have pressure on your bite and imbalance, which leads to TMJ disorder and even bruxism (teeth grinding). With treatment, you can help improve the appearance of your smile, as well as the overall health and function too! Instead of braces, we can do so with clear and comfortable plastic aligners!
These will all be custom-made for your bite. This process involves taking impressions and measurements of the smile with digital imaging technology, a fast and convenient process. We then send the information to experts in a lab setting who will then design and craft your aligners, each set being made especially for you. When they are ready, you can start your journey to an even smile.
The treatment process is simple. Each day, you will wear a set from the series, for about 20 to 23 hours usually. You can take them out before meals, and prior to brushing and flossing, as well as for special occasions. You just need to make sure you wear them for the minimum amount of time we recommend. You wear each set of about two weeks, and then continue the process by wearing the next one in the series. The entire process could take as little as one year, and is more comfortable than braces. These will be nearly invisible the entire time, which is often a huge benefit for our teen and adult patients.
